The RM of Marriott Transfer Station is open Wednesdays and Sundays from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Excluding statutory holidays.
Rules & Regulations
All household garbage must be bagged or it cannot be accepted.
A large bin is on site for larger non-bag-able household items such as chairs, larger furniture and waste that will not fit in the smaller bins.
A clean wood pile for burning will NO longer be provided at the new location. Every ratepayer has the ability to conduct a clean burn of natural unpainted or untreated wood on their property, at their convenience.
Most companies who sell appliances offer a program where they will take the old appliance when the new one is delivered or picked up. Ratepayers are encouraged to dispose of old appliances using this method.
Unfortunately, due to cost for service, SCRAP METAL will not be accepted at the collection site.
ALL RECYCLABLE MATERIAL SHOULD BE PLACED UNBAGGED IN DESIGNATED RECYCLE BINS.
Hot coals, and ashes are not allowed, dead animals, tires, and all hazardous materials (oils, chemicals, asbestos) are also prohibited and WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Construction material and demolition debris (including, concrete, bricks, shingles, and large amounts of drywall, will not be accepted. As the station is designed to only accept HOUSEHOLD garbage.
Individuals or businesses needing to deal with large amounts of construction material are encouraged to contact Loraas at 306-242-2300, or another waste management company and obtain their own bins for these materials.
